Minister of Tourism Visits Miches to Follow Up on Ongoing Works
On Friday, August 27, 2021, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, and the Vice Minister of Destinations, Patricia Mejía, visited Miches to follow up, together with Promiches, on the development of services on the East public access of Playa Esmeralda, part of the Public-Private Agreement for the Tourism Development of Miches.
The minister reported that the contract for the construction of parking lots, showers, bathrooms, and a barracks for the Dominican Navy and POLITUR (Tourist Police) is expected to be awarded during the month of September.
This effort is part of the necessary organization of the tourist and hotel zone of Playa Esmeralda, which includes classification according to uses, development of access and design of a comprehensive coastal management plan.
