Miches Barracks
Also, the first shovel was thrown to begin the construction work of a mixed category three barracks in the community of La Mina, in the municipal district of El Cedro in the municipality of Miches.
The facilities in Miches will include an office of the National Police, Politur, DNCD and Digesett, as well as an Intrant branch.
This structure will be implemented with the aim of strengthening security in this tourist area, as established in the Public-Private Agreement for the Tourism Development of Miches signed between Promiches and the Dominican Government last March 2021.
The president of the CPADP, Ángel De la Cruz, thanked Promiches for contributing with the donation of the land of more than 2,000 square meters, in the community of La Mina, in Miches, where one of these important works for the community will be built.
During the event, Yamil Isaías, president of Promiches, stated: “We have the opportunity to develop Miches as a model destination.”
He indicated that, as Promiches, they have taken important steps, together with the Dominican Government, to ensure that the orderly development of the tourism offer guarantees social impact and environmental sustainability in the short term in that destination.
He stated that proof of this is that access points and security posts are being developed today in Playa Esmeralda, as well as the large Miches-Hotel Zone aqueduct, and to these is added today the category three barracks in the community of La Mina, which is destined to be the main one in the entire municipality.”
